Supporting ASB awareness week to help make our communities safer

We’re supporting the UK’s national ASB Awareness Week. Running from November 18 - 24, ASB Awareness Week aims to encourage communities to take a stand against ASB and highlight the actions that can be taken by those experiencing it.

Organised by Resolve, the UK’s leading ASB and community safety organisation, the week will feature a series of events, and colleagues will be teaming up with partner organisations to visit communities in some of the areas that we provide homes.

Since April our specialist team have continued to work with partner organisations, having received around 2,600 reports of ASB. Enforcement action has been taken where appropriate and in the most serious cases we’ve taken possession proceedings, applied for injunctions, and obtained closure orders on properties.

This work and our commitment to protecting and safeguarding the communities we work with is reflected in the team’s ongoing improvements in our customer satisfaction.

Thirteen’s director of operations Kay Glew said: “It’s our priority to ensure our customers feel safe in their home and within the community where they live. So, we won’t tolerate our homes being used for crime and anti-social behaviour.

“We’ll continue to work with partner organisations to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime to make our communities and even better place to live.”
