Highmoor public consultation
The development proposes 40 residential units for the site on Highmoor Lane, adjacent to Hartshead Moor Cricket Club. The design aims to work with the existing landscape features and protected trees to create a landscape-led community for all. Green space has been maintained at the centre of the site, to ensure that the development is connected with nature, assisting with improved health and wellbeing. This will be a truly special place for residents, with views over the cricket club to the south west and integration of existing trees to ensure a landscaped edge to all sides of the development.
The proposals include both houses and apartments, with a mix of two, three and four bed properties. A number of the houses are designed to Category M4(2), meaning they are adaptable to meet the changing needs of residents. The majority of the development is two storey, with some 2.5 storey properties located on the west of the site to take advantage of views over the cricket club to the rear. A contemporary but locally referenced aesthetic has been proposed, using both stone and brick with timber panels being used a key corner turning feature.
