An apprenticeship is an opportunity to develop skills and experience for a successful career in the housing industry and beyond.
You will be supported with your learning and development from the day you join us, so that you can reach your full potential in your new role.
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship helps people that are looking to start a career to learn and earn at the same time. It offers paid work experience alongside studying and training in a classroom.
Anyone over the age of 16 that is not currently in full-time education can apply for an apprenticeship, and they will receive a qualification once they have finished their course.
How does it work?
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive on the job training and be fully supported to achieve your qualification.
You will be part of a team of skilled colleagues, who will work closely with you to share their knowledge of Thirteen and the industry.
Alongside your apprenticeship, you will also have access to other training opportunities to support your personal development.
An apprenticeship a Thirteen is a full-time role, which is equivalent to 37 hours a week. Usually, our apprentices spend four days working at Thirteen and one day studying.
How long does an apprenticeship last?
An apprenticeship can last between 1 – 4 years, depending on the subject and qualification.
What are the next steps after an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship can open the door to lots of different career options, and your next steps will depend on what your aspirations are.
Thirteen has so many opportunities and different career routes, including customer service, housing, repairs and maintenance, care and support, finance, human resources, project management and much more.
