Furniture support scheme

Our furniture upcycling team recondition donated and once-loved furniture, before giving it away to our customers who have low incomes, lost possessions, are fleeing dangerous circumstances or have previously been homeless.

The scheme, which is run from our recycling centre is helping our customers currently facing severe financial challenges to furnish their homes with clean, restored and attractive furniture, while preventing hundreds of tonnes of unwanted furniture going to landfill.

How can you get support?

Please have a chat with your housing services coordinator if you’re struggling and you need some support. All referrals are passed straight onto the furniture upcycling team.

Make a donation

We’re incredibly grateful for the donations we receive. Every donation makes a big difference to one of our customers.

We welcome all donations, including a number of items, which are in high demand, such as:

• Bed frames, good quality mattresses and bed linen
• Sofas
• Curtains
• Drawers and bedside tables
• Coffee tables and small dining tables with chairs
• Wardrobes
• General kitchen equipment – including crockery, pots, pans, cutlery tea-towels.

Other ways to support the scheme

We sell unique, one-off pieces of furniture which have been upcycled by the team. All profits are put back into the scheme, to provide essential, high-demand items such as mattresses, bedding, household items for our furniture starter packs and materials to continue to upcycle more lovely pieces of furniture.
