Resettlement Service, Redcar
The Resettlement Service supports vulnerable refugees from Syria to settle in the Redcar and Cleveland area.
The scheme provides a range of support for families or individuals arriving in the country under the UK Resettlement Scheme. This helps people to integrate into the UK and to live independently in the country. The scheme has welcomed families from countries such as Syria, Iraq, Afghan and South Sudan since the team started in 2006..
Our support provides a secure environment for refugees. This helps people to recover from their experiences, learn about the UK, develop trust in others and begin to rebuild their lives.
The scheme supports people for up to five years.
How to access the service
People are referred to the Resettlement Service by the local council.
